On Monday, June 5, 2023, the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board approved an application by the Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa to create a publically-funded Catholic virtual charter school.
As a Catholic living in Oklahoma, I am unequivocally opposed to using state money to create a religious school. I wrote an examination of the issue, looking specifically at the political and religious climate of Oklahoma, for the Boundless Reading blog.
